Jeff Alford, DDS, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and the founding surgeon of Heart of Texas Oral Surgery. A native Texan through and through, Dr. Alford has built his practice on a foundation of surgical excellence, genuine compassion, and a deep commitment to the patients and communities of the Texas Hill Country.
Dr. Alford earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 before going on to complete his dental degree at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After graduating, he practiced general and restorative dentistry alongside his father in Texarkana, an experience that gave him a uniquely comprehensive perspective on patient care and a firsthand understanding of what patients need from their dental and surgical teams. In 2004, he began an Oral Surgery internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, and in 2009 he completed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston.
Dr. Alford brings a rare dual perspective to implant care. His background in restorative and cosmetic dentistry, combined with his advanced surgical training, allows him to approach even the most complex cases with a comprehensive treatment philosophy that bridges surgery and restoration. He has a special interest in dental implants, offering both metal and non-metal options, same-day extraction, and All-on-4® Full-Arch Restoration. For these full-arch cases, he draws on an in-house 3D CT scanner, guided surgical techniques, and a trusted dental laboratory to deliver exceptional full mouth rehabilitation outcomes.
At Heart of Texas Oral Surgery, Dr. Alford leads a patient-first practice dedicated to delivering world-class surgical care in a warm, welcoming environment. He takes time with every patient to ensure they understand their options and feel confident in their treatment plan.
When he is not in the operating room, Dr. Alford loves spending time with his wife and three children exploring all that the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
